My name is Drea Carter. Im from Detroit, MI. Coming up I was the girl that look like her dad and dress like a boy. People would pick on me call me ugly, try to fight me just because they didnt think I fit in. This caused me to have low self-estem. My parents were going through a divorce so my hair started to fall out. Over time I felt more and more unpretty. I always stood my ground, defending myself.

I am strong. I think it's because of my friends, I would only hang our with the boys on the block. Lol they would make fun of the way I looked but they would do it in a playful matter. They taught me how to play football, basketball and softball. They say "you are who you hang with" I guess I was a Tom Boy back then.

My mom always knew that one of her kids would become a model.she would take us to casting calls and even though I dressed like a boy, they always choose me. They saw something in me that I couldn't see.

Later on down the line puberty kicked in and I couldn't do the things I use to do. I had to transition into a lady. I remember telling my father "my life is over, I don't want to have all these Girly changes!" crying my heart out. He said "it'll be ok. All girls have these changes." I said "it's not fair boys don't have to go through this!" my father said "because they are different from girls."



This was when I start to transition from a Tom boy to a young lady! Now I'm a model/actress. I am currently in working to become the best that I can be in this industry. I enjoy photo shoots and runway shows. I am goal driven and an over achiever. I work hard because I know someday I will be the greatest. Everyone I meet loves my personality because I am easy going, sweet, entertaining, comforting, inspiring and I also have a big heart. I'm always ready to try something new. I want to be an inspiration for children and young women all over the world. Dont let any one judge you, defend you self always and be brave. I want to be someone to look up to. I always pursue others to follow their dreams and never give up...thats why:
